She was the beloved wife of the late James Edward Canoles III; devoted mother of James Edward Canoles, IV and his wife Renae and Cheryl Kobus Schmidt and her husband Craig; Loving grandmother of James E. Canoles, V and his wife Holly, Bailey Richardson and her husband Brian, Phoebe Canoles and her boyfriend Marcus Moore, London Kobus, Chancellor Kobus and his girlfriend Jayla Holmes, Lydia Schmidt and Faith Laws and her husband Colin; dear great-grandmother of Blakely Canoles and Weston Richardson; cherished daughter of the late Charles and Jennie Smith (nee Verderami); Janice was also survived by her close cousin Ade Simmons, her many loving nieces, nephews and cousins and will be greatly missed by her faithful basset hound, Buddy.
Family and friends are invited to gather at the Schimunek Funeral Home (9705 Belair Road Nottingham, MD 21236) on Wednesday, March 4th from 3:00 – 5:00 and 7:00 – 9:00 p.m. where a Celebration of Life will take place at 8:00 p.m. Interment private.
