She was the cherished daughter of the late Alexander and Anna Gorleski, and the beloved wife of the late James Carter.
She was a devoted mother to Brian Carter (Sharon), Dave Carter, and the late Steven Carter; a dear sister to Pam Scales; and a loving grandmother to Dylan Carter, Aidan Carter, and Seamus Carter. She is also survived by many cherished great-grandchildren, step-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins, and the extended Dage family.
Jean was guided by her faith throughout her life, finding strength, comfort, and purpose in her belief. Her spirituality guided her actions, her kindness, and the way she cared for others. She found her greatest sense of peace in nature, where she felt closest to God—whether surrounded by sunlight, open skies, or the simple beauty of the outdoors. These moments of reflection brought her comfort, strength, and a deep appreciation for the world around her.
