Jerome Joseph Coleman

Coleman- On September 1, 2019 Jerome Joseph "Jerry" Coleman passed away. Beloved husband of Mabel Lee Coleman (nee Wilson). Loving father of Judith Coleman, her partner Michael Resnick and the late Jerome Joseph ”Sir Jerome” Coleman, Jr. He was a devoted Poppy to his only grandchild, Carlee Catherine Garitty, who he loved and adored. He is survived by siblings Catherine Mitchell, Elizabeth (Ann) Coleman-Ruhl , Richard Coleman and Harry Coleman.

Jerry worked at the State Highway Administration for over 30 years, was in the United State Air Force National Guard and a proud member of the Parkville American Legion. He graduated from Polytechnic High School and then Johns Hopkins University with honors from the Engineering Society, Tua Beta Pi.

A “Celebration of Jerry’s Life” will be held on Saturday, September 7, 2019 from 11:00am until 1:00pm in the Garden Room at Oakcrest in Parkville.

I have know Jerry since I was about 13. He taught me how to drive and was very patient with me. Mae and Jerry show me around New Mexico while he was stationed there. We always loved have steamed crabs and corn on the cob and tomatoes with the family. He had two great children. who loved him so much. .love Phyllis
