Jodi Wallman Leeser

From an early age, Jodi’s keen intellect was evident. She graduated as valedictorian from Shawnee High School in Medford, NJ, before earning her Bachelor of Arts in Mathematics Cum Laude from Bryn Mawr College, Bryn Mawr, PA.

After graduating college, Jodi married David Black Leeser in August of 1992. She was the proud mother of Harry Edward Leeser and Alexia Paige Leeser. Family was always the center of her life.

Jodi was also deeply committed to the Quaker community and served multiple Quaker institutions. She served on the boards of Friends Academy, Sandy Spring Friends School, and The Kendall Corporation. At Sandy Spring Friends School, she served as Clerk of the Board of Trustees from 2016 to 2018. She also served as Treasurer of the Trustees of Byberry Friends Monthly Meeting.

Throughout her life, Jodi was known for her joyful smile and sense of humor, her steady, compassionate presence, her generosity of love with family and friends, and her commitments to integrity, community, and continuing revelation. In her later years she developed a profound dedication to gratitude, which she expressed in countless ways to everyone she encountered.

Jodi is survived by her parents, Nancy and Bruce Wallman; husband, David; children, Harry and Lexie; sister, Alison Sussman; daughter-in-law, Akanksha Leeser, and grandson Aarav Leeser.

Celebration of life will take place September 20th, 2026 with service beginning at 1pm
