On December 7, 2025, John Amato IV passed away. He was the beloved father of M. Kendall Ludwig and her husband Mark, Carly Amato-Menker and her husband John, and John “BJ” Amato V, and his wife Samantha; cherished grandfather of Margot, Juliette, John VI “Jack” and Eliza; loving significant other of Karen West; devoted son of the late John Amato III, and Joan Amato; dear brother of Joe Amato and his wife Nancy, Jim Amato and his wife Susan, and Jason Amato and his wife Jen; he is also survived by Madeline Meister, his loving nieces and nephews, and many friends.
Relatives and friends are invited to visit at Schimunek Funeral Home Inc., 9705 Belair Rd. Nottingham, MD 21236 on Wednesday, December 10, 2025 from 2-4 and 6-8 PM. A Memorial Mass will be celebrated on Thursday, December 11, 2025 at 10AM at St. Michael the Archangel Catholic Church. Interment private.
