John Patrick Byer, age 74, of Nottingham, MD, passed away on July 9, 2024. He was the beloved husband of Teresa Ann Byer (nee Potyraj); devoted father of John Christopher Byer and his wife Heather, and Cynthia Marie Byer and her husband Adam Van Etten; cherished son of the late John and Eveline Byer; loving grandfather of John William Byer, Eveline Amelia Van Etten, and Anna Rose Van Etten; dear brother of Jo-Ann Heusser and her husband Darren Goebels, Brendan Byer, Michael Byer and his partner Tammy Woelfer, Maureen Byer and her late partner Drew France, and the late Kathleen Byer.
Family and friends are invited to gather at the Schimunek Funeral Home, 9705 Belair RD, Nottingham, MD 21236, on Saturday, July 13, 2024 and Sunday, July 14, 2024, from 3-5 P.M. and 7-9 P.M. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Monday, July 15, 2024, at 12 P.M., at St. Joseph Catholic Church (Fullerton). Interment will follow in the adjoining church cemetery.
