On August 24, 2017, John Vernon Marchsteiner, 95; beloved husband of Lena Maria Marchsteiner; devoted father of Stacie Lee James and her husband Mike, and John V. Marchsteiner, Jr.; cherished grandfather of Jarrett, John L., and Joanna Marchsteiner; dear brother of Mary E. Rackl and her late husband Paul. John served in the United States Navy during WWII.
Relatives and friends are invited to gather at Schimunek Funeral Home, Inc. 9705 Belair Rd., Nottingham, MD 21236, on Saturday, September 2, 2017, for a receiving of friends from 2-3pm with a memorial service to follow at 3pm.
