On August 4, 2025 Joseph J. “Joe” Woika, Jr. passed away. He was the beloved husband of Virginia L. “Ginny” Woika (nee Wagner); devoted father of Mark Woika and his wife Cindy and Joseph “Jay” Woika and his partner Shiras; cherished grandfather of Amanda Woika, Marc Woika, Daisy Woika, and Carter Woika; he was preceded in death by his parents Joseph J. Woika, Sr. and Theresa Woika.
Relatives and friends are invited to visit at Schimunek Funeral Home Inc., 9705 Belair Rd. Nottingham, MD 21236 on Sunday, August 10, 2025 from 2-4 and 6-8 PM, and Monday, August 11, 2025 from 10 AM-11 AM, where a service will be held at 11AM. Interment will follow at Sacred Heart of Jesus Cemetery. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the Knights of Columbus Council that Joe was a member of by making checks payable to Cardinal Gibbons Council #2521 Charities Inc., mail in Attn: Walter Brewer, 4301 Klosterman Ave. Nottingham, MD 21236, or to the Alzheimer’s Association.
