LeeAnn (Simone) Pettey, 85, went home to be with the Lord, on March 13th, 2026, at her daughter’s home in White Marsh, MD where she resided in recent years. Predeceased by her very loving husband, Marvin Pettey, her mother Lorraine Boesche, brothers: Jack, and David, sister, Ruthie, and grandson, Reese III. LeeAnn is lovingly remembered by her children: daughter, Robin McIsaac (John), and son, Brian King (Jenny); beloved and dearly missed by her grandchildren: Matthew; among other grandchildren: Lori, Heather, Holly, and their father, Reese; among other great-grandchildren: August, Jasmine, Phoenix, and Daisy; sister-in-law Sharon Simone, many nieces and nephews, and even more family
and friends.
Long time resident of Kingsville, MD, LeeAnn was born on September 12th, 1940. LeeAnn grew up in Baltimore City and later attended Tennessee Temple University in Chattanooga,TN. As a young adult, LeeAnn followed her heart and spiritual calling, she always wanted to help others. At one point, LeeAnn was a police officer, even the first woman in the Baltimore City Police Department to receive maternity leave. For many years, LeeAnn was a nurse and even opened an assisted living home where elderly residents could receive care.
LeeAnn also had a lot of creative passion. She loved writing, and she so much enjoyed playing the piano -she was good too- ‘It Had To Be You’ being her favorite song. She was an amazing cook, an even better baker, and made the best rice pudding. Goodbye is not forever. Goodbye is not the end. It simply means we’ll miss you until we meet again.
The family will have a private service in the coming weeks.
