Lillian Weeks was born in Washington D.C. in 1930 and later graduated from Seton High School. She married her husband, Aubrey, in 1950, and was the proud mother of five wonderful boys. She was a dedicated homemaker and took pride in keeping a clean and organized home and cooking healthy meals from scratch every day. Lillian was a long-time parishioner of St. Ursula’s Church and was very involved in the Cub Scouts and Boy Scouts where she was awarded the Silver Fawn, the female equivalent to the Silver Beaver. She enjoyed many hobbies and was an accomplished seamstress, making clothing and holiday costumes for the family. She also appreciated making jewelry and making and painting ceramics at the Parkville Senior Center, including a collection of cherished Santa Clauses. Lillian’s favorite hobby was her doll collection. She collected and made dolls, doll clothes, and enjoyed personalizing her collections. Lillian became a certified nursing aide in order to provide in-home care for a beloved aunt, which showed her love and commitment to family. Later in life, Lillian enjoyed traveling with her husband and family, seeing most of the United States and parts of Canada. She was a long-time member of the Shenanigans Playgroup out of the Parkville Senior Center where she performed, sewed costumes, and created sets for musical performances. Over the years Lillian gave selflessly volunteering making blankets for Linus, making walker and wheelchair accessories for veterans, acting as President of the Senior Center Council, and offering companionship through the Home Team Organization providing companionship to elderly and homebound individuals.

Lillian will be missed. She had such a loving, fun heart. She always seemed so happy and was always smiling. Our love and prayers go out to the family. I know uncle Aubrey will miss her terribly. They always seem to have so much love for each other. Garry and I send love and prayers to Aubrey.
