

Linda “Gail” White Eavers, 74, of Harford County, Maryland, passed away suddenly on January 6, 2026. Born July 15, 1951, in Fort Eustis, Virginia, she was the daughter of the late Jimmy J. White and Bernice C. (Powers) White-McClain and stepdaughter of the late George “Mac” McClain.
She was preceded in death by her grandparents Francis K. and Dovie L. (Howell) Powers and Jesse and Sarah Alice (Hedrick) White; her brothers Timmy D. and Jimmy D. White; her beloved dachshund Conway; and her macaw Pepper.
In 2005, Gail married her high school sweetheart, William Eavers, and they shared 10 months of marriage before his passing in 2006.
Gail grew up in Baltimore and graduated from Patterson High School in 1969. She worked as an administrative secretary at Fidelity and Deposit for over 35 years, where she formed many lifelong friendships.
She enjoyed bluegrass music, and attending live music events and in her younger years she loved camping and traveling the hills of WV with her family. A passionate reader, Gail especially loved history and documentaries and had a deep interest in the British Royal Family. She dreamed of visiting London to see the royal palaces.
Though she had no children, Gail cherished her nieces, nephews, and cousins. She is survived by her brothers Danny F. White (Debbie) of Dundalk and Mark White of Harford County, and her sister Robin Marzola (Greg) of Sykesville, Maryland. She also leaves behind two aunts, Okarita “Okie” Powers-Blake of Linden, Virginia, and Opal Troy of Berlin Center, Ohio, along with many cousins.
Family and friends are invited to gather at Schimunek Funeral Home, 9705 Belair Road, Nottingham, MD 21236, on Saturday, January 24, 2026, from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM. A memorial service celebrating Gail’s life will begin at 2:00 PM.
