

She was born in Allentown, Pennsylvania, to Margaret and Francis Granitz.
Lucy was a lifelong nurse, including time as a head shift nurse at University of Maryland St. Joseph Medical Center in Towson. Maryland. After completing high school, she attended the Sacred Heart Hospital School of Nursing in Allentown, was first in her class, and served as secretary of the student government. While completing her internship at Sinai Hospital in Baltimore in 1960, she met a young, former U.S. Marine, Joseph Snair. They were married the following year. Lucy retired from nursing in 2007.
Lucy had many friends. She was well-known for her volunteer activities at St. Dominic's Church, to include working the annual talent show and the annual bazaar. She was a devout Roman Catholic. When she offered people her Rosary prayers, they could be sure she would say them at length. She donated generously to many charities.
Lucy loved her reading and her book clubs. She enjoyed television, especially the gameshow “The Price is Right.” Lucy also enjoyed watching sports, be they professional sports or competitive school sports where a child or grandchild was on a team. She cared unendingly for her children and grandchildren.
Lucy is survived by her son Scott Snair and his wife, Mary-Jane, of Ocean Pines, daughter Patti Koski and her husband, Matt, of Hydes, son Andy Snair and his wife, Angie, of Baltimore, son Kenny Snair of Baltimore, and son Jimmy Snair of Baltimore; brother Richard Granitz; and loving grandchildren Patti, Katie, Luke, Noah, Ben, Grace, Marianna, Lucia, and Gia. She was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph Snair, and her brother, Charles Granitz.
In her later years, Lucille suffered from Alzheimer's Disease, and it was the cause of her passing. In lieu of flowers, please consider giving to the Alzheimer's Association, the largest non-profit in the United States seeking a cure and comfort for those with the disease
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, February 13, 2021, at 10:00am, at Christ the King Catholic Church, 1102 Hart Road, Towson, Maryland, 21286. All family and friends are welcome. Unfortunately, due to the pandemic, there will not be a reception afterward.
