On January 2, 2026 Marie Douglass (nee Velnosky) passed away. She was the beloved wife of the late Thomas S. Douglass, Sr.; devoted mother of Marie Adams and her late husband Daniel, Joe Douglass and his wife Carol, Steven Douglass, and the late Thomas S. Douglass, Jr. and his surviving wife Brenda; cherished grandmother of Lisa, Erica, Danielle, Ben, Damon, Travis, Mike, and Kevin, their families and her loving great-grandchildren; loving sister of the late James G. Velnosky, II (Lola); dear sister-in-law of the late Gilbert Douglass (Ann), Jerome Douglass (Lillian), Herbert Douglass (Leona), and Robert Douglass; she is also survived by loving nieces and nephews.
Relatives and friends are invited to gather at Schimunek Funeral Home Inc., 9705 Belair Rd. Nottingham, MD 21236 on Wednesday, January 7, 2025 from 4-6 PM, with a Memorial Service at 5:30 PM. Interment private.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made in Marie's name to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital or the American Kidney Foundation.
