It is with profound sadness and deep love that we announce the passing of our beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and sister. While our hearts are broken by her loss, we find comfort in the countless memories she leaves behind and in the lasting legacy of love she created throughout her life.

Born with a warm heart, she lived a life centered on family, kindness, and devotion to those she loved. Early in her career, she worked on a bookmobile, bringing the joy of reading and learning to others. Later, she joined the Federal Bureau of Investigation as a typist, where fate would lead her to meet the love of her life and future husband. Together they built a life grounded in love, partnership, and family.

Their marriage was blessed with two children, whom she loved wholeheartedly. As a mother, she was a constant source of encouragement, wisdom, comfort, and unwavering support. Through every success and setback, she was always there with a listening ear, a reassuring hug, and unconditional love. She never hesitated to put her family's needs before her own and took great pride in watching her children grow and build families of their own.

Nothing brought her more joy than being a grandmother. She shared a unique and special bond with each of her grandchildren and was an active presence in their lives from the very beginning. Whether babysitting, offering advice, cheering them on through life's milestones, or simply spending time together, she treasured every moment. Her grandchildren were truly the light of her life. In later years, she was blessed with the role of great-grandmother, a title she embraced with immense pride and love. Watching the family grow brought her endless happiness and fulfillment.

Beyond her devotion to family, she had a special love for the ocean. Few things made her happier than packing up for a trip to the beach. The beach was her happy place. She loved the sound of the waves, the feel of the sand and salt air, and the simple pleasure of being near the water with the people she loved most.

No trip to the ocean was complete without some of her favorite treats. She never passed up the opportunity for Grotto Pizza. Fractured Prune or Thrashers French Fries. For her, it wasn't just about the food; it was about the experience, the traditions, and the memories made with family at the beach. Those moments of laughter, conversation, and togetherness were among her most treasured.

In her later years, she faced the challenges of dementia with courage and grace. The disease slowly took much from her, but it could never take away the love she had for her family or the love they had for her. Throughout her battle, her family remained by her side, supporting her with the same devotion she had shown them throughout her life. Even as dementia changed many things, the warmth of her spirit and the impact she had on those around her remained unmistakable.

She will be remembered for her generous heart, her unwavering dedication to family, her strength during difficult times, and the countless lives she touched through her kindness. She taught by example what it means to love deeply, support faithfully, and cherish family above all else.

As we mourn her loss, we also celebrate a life beautifully lived. Her legacy lives on in her children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and in everyone fortunate enough to have known her. The lessons she taught, the traditions she created, and the love she freely gave will continue to guide and inspire us for generations to come.

She was our mother, our grandmother, our great-grandmother, our confidante, and our first friend. We find peace knowing she is no longer suffering and is finally home, reunited with her beloved husband, her parents, and the loved ones who have gone before her.

Though she is gone from our sight, she will never be gone from our hearts. Her love remains woven into the fabric of our family and will stay with us always.

Relatives and friends are invited to gather at Schimunek Funeral Home, Inc. 9705 Belair Rd, Nottingham, MD 21236 on Friday September 18 from 2:00PM-4:00PM and 6:00PM-8:00PM. A funeral service will occur at Schimunek Funeral Home, Inc. on Saturday September 19 at 11:00AM. Interment to follow at Moreland Memorial Park.
