Marsha Jean Romanell

Marsha Jean (Capriotti) Romanell, 69, of Ocean City, Maryland, passed away peacefully on October 31, 2025. She was a beloved Wife, Mother, and Nonna — and will be remembered as a loving Daughter, Aunt, Sister, Sister-In-Law, and Devoted Friend to many who loved her for exactly who she was.

Born in Baltimore on January 8, 1956, Marsha raised her family in Harford County before retiring with her husband to Ocean City, where she embraced coastal life to the fullest. Known by many as “Mama Marsha,” she was everyone’s biggest cheerleader — warm, funny, a little mischievous, and always full of life. Her energy was contagious. She brought laughter, light, and love to everyone she met. Her infectious humor, animated storytelling, and bright smile made her unforgettable.

A woman who wore many hats and poured her heart into everything she did. From her early years at BGE to countless other roles — paraeducator, Ravens event helper, hotel breakfast server, and even mail carrier! She was strong, kind, and full of heart, finding joy in simple moments and connection with others.

Marsha loved Ocean City life — exploring new spots, attending every local “Fest,” and simply being by the water with her husband Maurice, her forever partner and best friend. Marsha’s happiest days were spent by the beach with her family, and friends — living life, laughing often, and savoring every moment.

She was strength, laughter, and love wrapped into one. Her light will forever shine in the stories she told, the laughter she sparked, and the hearts she touched.

Family and friends are invited to gather at the Schimunek Funeral Home, 9705 Belair RD, Nottingham, MD 21236, on Thursday, November 13, 2025, from 3-7 P.M.

A celebration of Marsha’s life will be held in Abingdon, MD on January 11, 2026. More details to follow.
