On August 6, 2019, Mary Lou Di Venti (nee Mc Cormick), passed away peacefully at the Dove House in Westminster MD; beloved wife of the late Anthony J. Di Venti, Sr.; devoted mother of Anthony Di Venti Jr. and his wife Tara, Christine Pinder and her husband Mark; loving grandmother of Joseph and Paul Di Venti, Miranda and William Pinder; dear sister-in-law of the late Michael Di Venti, Vincent Di Venti, Theresa Knorr, and Philamenia Dietrich; dear sister of Barbara Ann McHale; dear cousin to many in the extended Geary family; and dear friend to many in Fallston and the Oakcrest Retirement Community.

Mary Lou was born on April 27th, 1930 to Michael McCormick and Vera Geary in Mt. Carmel, PA. She grew up with her mother and loving grandparents, William and Mary Geary, and extended Geary family in Pennsylvania before eventually moving to Baltimore as a child. It was here in Baltimore that Mary made her home for several years and began a family before moving out to the “country” in Fallston, MD. Mary Lou will always be remembered most as a devoted and loving daughter, wife, mother and friend to her immediate and extended family.

Relatives and friends are invited to gather with us at the Schimunek Funeral Home, Inc., 9705 Belair Road, Nottingham, Maryland 21236 on Thursday, August 8, 2019, 3-5 & 7-9 p.m., and on Friday, August 9, 2019, where a funeral service will be held at 12:30 p.m. Interment Gardens of Faith Cemetery. My dear cousin you truly will be missed. Looking at the photos posted I saw your mom, Aunt Sissy, standing in back of you and Tony. Seeing her again brings back such childhood memories and her crazy sense of humor, of which you would never admit but had a little of that humor too. Years have gone by and we got further apart by miles but never out of my heart. Give grand ma & pop a big hug for me until we meet again God willing. Blessings to the family.
