Mommom,
 As I am sitting here on your couch And thinking about all the wonderful times we have had together during your last few months. Taking care of you was a pleasure and I am so happy that I did. You would always say " Steph make sure you hold on to me , don't let me fall" and I would always say " I got you babe " then we would start singing! Every night I sit here and at 9 I say Mommom will be going to bed right now ! You would get up and go straight to poppops picture and kiss him! I'm sitting here missing you like crazy ! I always loved coming home and telling you about my day , good or bad! I can't thank you enough for taking care of my family & I! You and pop pop were truly a blessing to us and I can't thank you enough !! Saturday was such a heart breaking day, but I want you to know that the whole entire gang was there supporting you ! Watching you look at me and taking your last breath was a moment I'll never forget ! I love you so much and it was such a blessing living with you and pop pop !!! You will truly be missed

I have been out  of town and just heard about your mom.  Please accept my heartfelt sympathy.  Your mom was one of a kind. She was always very nice to me and I could count on her to make us laugh. We are here if you need us.  Love, Mary Ellen and Jeff

For you Mom Mom: 
You loved me the second I took my first breath
And I'll love you until you take your last 
I wish I could rewind and go back to these past few months
I will miss watching you get excited over manny machado's bunts. 
I will miss Your wit and charm, 
you thought you always bothered us when you asked us to do things for you- but you did no harm.
I wrote this poem to cope and ease my pain 
But nothing eases my pain more to know that your pain is no more.
Say hi to Tim, Granny, Mom Mom Diane, Pop Pop, and Uncle Bob. 
Ps. I always thought it was so funny the way you ate corn on the cob.

Mom,

Mom you had a good life, with a good man by your side. You gave birth to four wonderful and successful children. You loved your family and your family loved you!

I think you most enjoyed the simple things. You loved to cook. You enjoyed taking care of your home and your gardens. It seemed that cleaning, weeding and painting was never work for you.
 
Church each week was a given. After the children grew up and left home you continued to go to church weekly. Being a Catholic and a person of faith was important to you.

You loved to Crochet and do Needlepoint craft projects. You took on difficult and long term projects. Your work was beautiful. Many of these projects were presents to both family and friends. As much as doing the work, I think you enjoyed the giving even more.

Mom you always looked great! Just as neat-as-a-pin! And when you were dressed up for a special event you were beautiful!

I will always remember how comfortable you always made all of us feel when we came into your home. Both you and Pop were always ready to share a meal. There was always an open invitation to the variety of “GOOD” candy and other snacks & treats.

You loved the Orioles! It didn't seem to matter who the owner or manager was at the time. Win or lose, you enjoyed watching the Orioles play baseball.

I want to thank you so much for taking care of Bren and Kim while I was in Vietnam! Knowing my girls were in the best hands was so important during that time. I have not and will not ever forget that time and what you and Pop did for us. When Shell came along you embraced her just as you did Kim. Our kids knew you loved them and they loved you both so much.

Last Friday afternoon I visited with you in the hospital. You told me you were going to be with Pop. We both cried. Then we talked about good memories for a while. I asked you what made you happy when you were a child. You said “knowing my mother and father loved me”.

Mom, please know that you will always be loved by all of us and never be forgotten.

Mom,

I miss you so much already I can hardly stand it.  You were my best friend in life and the special relationship we had will go on forever.  It has been my distinct pleasure to live next door to you and Dad for the past 12 years.  It was always my plan to take care of you and Dad when you needed me.  And that time came 4 years ago.  I was fortunate to be your caretaker, and we laughed and cried and experienced all the ups and downs of your medical challenges together.  I know it must have been torture for you to be trapped in your failing body these past 4 years, after leading such an active life.  You made friends everywhere you went and you kept those friends for a lifetime.  You were queen of the mall walkers for many years where you held court with your friends every morning at 7 a.m.  

You and Dad were always there for us whenever we needed anything.  No questions asked.  We always knew we could come home if we ever needed to, and that we did.  I am so thankful for all the things you taught me that you enjoyed so much, from gardening to sewing to cooking.  These things were second nature to you but I was clueless.  After many years of lessons, I now feel confident that I can make a pot of your homemade crab soup.  Of course, it will never taste as good as yours, but I think I can come close.

I am so thankful to Michele and Scott for helping you and Dad live out your life in your family home of 48 years.  I know staying in your home was so important to both you and Dad.  This past week has been the most difficult week of my life.  It broke my heart to see you in such pain.  I am comforted knowing that you and Dad are together again and are no longer suffering.  Mom and Dad, even though our lives have been changed forever, you both will live on through the wonderful memories we have of you.

MomMom, I feel so lost without you here at the house.I find myself waking up @ 2am waiting for you to call me to take you to the bathroom and then to the couch.I miss my morning hugs and kisses before I start my day and my bedtime hug and kiss. You where one of a kind. I can honestly say in my 43 years I NEVER remember you or my PopPop being mad at me or disappointed in me. You both loved me for who I was, even when you may not have agreed with a decision I made. I cherish the moments that we shared, the oriole games we watched,your last walk around the neighborhood and so many family memories that took place at 5810 Lytle Road. I am not such a great cook but I will do my best to try and use some of your recipies!! As far as 5810 Lytle Road, this will ALWAYS be MomMom and PopPop's house, Scott and I and the kids are just making more memories that one day when I see you again we can talk and laugh about. Please watch over me and my family. I hope you know how much we all truly love you and PopPop. Please give my PopPop a big kiss for me. I love you so much and will miss every little thing about you!

One more thing: when I was little you would hug me when I was sick and kiss my boo boos for me, and I can honestly say I held your hand when you where passing and rubbed your face and told you to go to sleep and go be with PopPop and for me that was an honor. I LOVE YOU MOMMOM!!
