Michael Richard Citro Sr.

Michael Richard Citro, Sr., age 90, of Parkville, MD, passed away on March 24, 2025. He was the beloved husband of Sharon Citro (nee Kirkbride) and the late Jean Marie Citro (nee Bodenschatz); devoted father of Butch Citro and the late Donna Bourne and her surviving spouse Joseph; loving grandfather of Kristen Dooley and her husband Sean, Rachel Butrica and her husband Matthew, Blake Bourne, David Citro, Thomas Citro and his wife Mauren, and Ashley Zirpolo and her husband Patrick; cherished great-grandfather of Graham, Theodore, Walker, Camden, Declan, Jack, Sonny, and one on the way; dear brother of Karen Basham and her husband Don; beloved uncle of Michael Basham and his wife Wendy, and Amy Chaudhry and her husband Zeeshan. Also survived by Sharon’s three daughters.

Family and friends are invited to gather at the Schimunek Funeral Home, 9705 Belair RD, Nottingham, MD 21236, on Sunday, March 30, 2025, from 2-4 P.M. and 6-8 P.M. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Monday, March 31, 2025, at 10 A.M., at St. Michael the Archangel Catholic Church 10 Willow Avenue, Baltimore, MD 21206. Interment will follow at Gardens of Faith Memorial Gardens Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in Michael’s name to the Baltimore Streetcar Museum at www.baltimorestreetcarmuseum.org
