Minerva Castro

On May 26, 2018, Minerva Castro (nee Mayo) passed away. She was the beloved wife of the late Jose Ramon Castro, Sr.; devoted mother of Amanda Carreno Mayo and her late husband Clemente A. Mesa, and Jose R. Castro, Jr. and his wife Laura G. Castro; loving grandmother of Amanda C. Mesa, Alexis Mesa, Stephanie Castro, and Christopher A. Castro; cherished great-grandmother of Riley Omlor, Mila Chevallier, Gabriella Omlor, Anastasia Katranis, and Christopher J. Castro. Minerva is predeceased by 13 siblings.

Relatives and friends are invited to gather at Schimunek Funeral Home, Inc. 9705 Belair Rd., Nottingham, MD 21236, on Wednesday, May 30, 2018 from 5-9pm, with a funeral service to be held at 7pm. Interment services will be private. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Minerva’s name to the Alzheimer’s Association 1850 York Rd., Suite D, Lutherville, MD 21093.
