Nancy Ann Serio

Nancy Ann Serio (née O’Donnell), age 89, of Parkville, Maryland passed away on Friday, August 25, 2023. She was the beloved wife of the late Joseph A. Serio; devoted mother of Susan Serio Vargus and her husband Billy, Beverly Serio Edwards, Michael Serio and his wife Sheri, and the late Ann Marie Serio and her surviving husband Ron Grahl; loving grandmother of Nia Vargus, Teresa and Luke Edwards, Amanda and Matthew Gill, Morgan and Jacob Serio, and Macy Marie Serio; great grandmother of Henry Gill. Also survived by beloved nieces, nephews and extended family. Nancy was preceded by her parents, Thomas V. And Bertha Elizabeth (née Czyz) O’Donnell, and her siblings, Patricia Maffey, John “Jack” O’Donnell and Robert O’Donnell.

A visitation will be held for Nancy at the Schimunek Funeral Home, 9705 Belair Road, Nottingham, MD 21236 on Thursday, August 31 from 3-5 and 7-9pm. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. Michael the Archangel Church, 10 Willow Ave Baltimore, MD 21206 on Friday, September 1, at 11am. Interment to follow at Moreland Memorial Park.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in honor of Nancy’s late daughter, Ann Marie Serio, directed to support Dr. Evan Lipson’s melanoma research at the Johns Hopkins Kimmel Cancer Center.
