Nan was born on September 15, 1938, in Baltimore, Maryland. She lived most of her life in Kingsville, Maryland, before recently relocating to Port Orange, Florida, where she remained until her passing.
Anyone who knew Nan knows how deeply she loved her family and friends. She was generous with her love, hugs, and kisses, and she had a remarkable way of making everyone feel special. She became a mother and grandmother figure to many, welcoming people into her heart and treating them as family. Whether it was cooking breakfast at 3 a.m., doing shots in the garage, making her famous brownies and pepper relish, or simply sharing a laugh, Nan always made memories that would last a lifetime.
Nan enjoyed life to the fullest. She loved singing and dancing, listening to Ronnie Dove, spending time with her grandchildren, and, of course, “The Facebook,” where she happily sent emojis to everyone and anyone.
Nan was a devoted wife, mother, sister, grandmother, and friend. She is preceded in death by her parents, Agnes Cecilia (Romig) Parlett and Marion Ellwood Parlett; her stepfather, George Reichert Sr.; her husband, David Teal Sr.; her son, David Teal Jr.; her grandson, Danny Huber; her sister, Agnes “Peggy” Steiner; and her brother, John Marian Parlett.
Nan is survived by her loving children, Ethel Huber (Steve), Melvin Teal (Jean), John Teal (Gina), and daughter-in-law Carolyn Teal; her grandchildren, Stephen Huber, Sarah Huber, Amanda Teal, Candace Teal, Jesse Teal, Adam Teal, Katie Teal, John Teal Jr., and Luke Teal; and her great-grandchildren, Alicia, Richelle, Layla, Noah, Stephan, and Oskar.
Nan will be sorely missed by all who knew and loved her. Her laughter, warmth, hugs, kisses, and unconditional love will live on in the hearts of the many people whose lives she touched.
To know her was to love her, and to be loved by her was an honor.
