On March 29, 2021 Naomi Anne (nee Martin) Maguire of Parkville, MD, passed away in her home surrounded by her family.

Naomi was born in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania on November 19, 1939. She was married to James (Jim) Maguire for over 61 years. They moved to Maryland in 1966 where they raised their four children: Jimmy (Diane), Kenny (Pam), Michael (Hope) and Lynda (fiancé Mike). She was the loving grandmother to Kara, Shawne, Tim, Molly, J.T., Tyler, Brady, Samantha, Shannon, Allison, and Keith. She was the great-grandmother to Jordan, Isabelle and Hadley. She was predeceased by her 2 sweet grandsons, Mikey and Eric whom she has now joined in heaven.

Naomi worked for many years as a secretary for Westinghouse before retiring and traveling around the country with her husband on several convention trips. She made many friends throughout this time. Naomi loved to travel and take amazing pictures of her adventures. Because of her travel experiences, she became a travel agent and enjoyed planning many trips for her friends and family. She enjoyed most of her summer vacations in Cape May, NJ which was one of her favorite places since she was a little girl. She was an active member of the Loch Raven Optimists (Optimisses) and was a cheerleading coach for many years. She enjoyed ceramics and made many cherished pieces for her family. She loved the Ravens football team and was a season ticket holder for over 20 years.

But Naomi’s most precious gift in life was her family. She loved each and every one of them fiercely and unconditionally. She loved attending all of their sporting, cheering and acting events. Her devotion to each of them was unmatched and she will be missed tremendously by all of them.

Miss Naomi was a family friend for about 50 years. She had a kind and gentle nature about her, and she had a sweet laugh and I remember her laughing often. I will always think of her with a smile on her face. I hope she has reunited with all of her neighborhood friends that went before her including my Mom. Her loss will leave a big void in her family but I hope she is at peace and has found her voice again and is singing her favorite tunes ;)

Jim and I loved going up Noami and Jim’s house for the Crab fest and the club for the Bull roast. Noami was a great hostess and made you feel welcome. We really miss those great times together. Cas and Walt and their family were there also. God Bless Noami and keep her family safe.
