Dear Mr. Albert, you are sorely missed.  
You always treated me like a daughter, and I hold you in my heart and in my memory. Your gentle humanity, caring and kindness is part of your legacy, that continues to live on for all of us who had the privilege of knowing you. I hope you and my Mom recently had a lovely reunion. We spoke of you often and she was very fond of you. May you both continue to rest in eternal peace. 🙏

Worked at Eudowood Wards with Norm until 1978. He was the unofficial second floor greeter. He knew every associate and every associate knew him and liked him. Although we worked in different departments, you’ll never find a kinder soul.  I’m certain that Norm is greeting his many acquaintances in heaven. A wonderful human being. People like Norm make the world a better place.

I was a waitress at Bill Batemans Bistro in parkville. Mr. Norm and Ms. Anne would come in just about everyday and sit in my section. They were such a delight to talk to. Mr. Norm always gave me wise advice and guidance. He was simply the kindest man I have ever met. He had a heart of gold. 

Worked with Norm from 1972-78 at Wards in Towson. Nicest guy in the world. Carried a perpetual smile. Knew and talked to everybody. Always a gentleman. Was a “greeter” on the second floor at Wards before there were greeters at Walmart. Will spend eternity greeting friends in heaven.

It was truly a blessing to be get to know  Norman over the last 15+ years.

His kindness, selflessness and unfailingly sunny disposition made this neighborhood a better place.   One would be hard-pressed to find a neighbor more personable more welcoming or more considerate.  

He always lit up when he saw us out — especially with our boys, who adored “Mr. Norman.”  He was generous with his smile, and his kind words — he always had time for us, to have an interaction that would brighten our day.

Our deepest condolences go out to his family and friends.  

Norman will be sorely missed.   This neighborhood lost a true gem.



I lived in the house between Norman and Kenny from 2001 to 2005 when I moved to North Carolina. I was so sad to hear of his passing, and grateful to have known him. He was a lovely man who was always interested in how I was doing, and always had a kind word for my 2 teenage girls. He looked out for us. He took so much pride in his lawn. Even on the hottest of summer days he'd be out there mowing. I'd bring water and try to talk him out of it, but he was a stickler about doing his lawn himself.  I was very fond of him. My condolences to his family. Rest in peace dear Norman. Your memory is a blessing.

Mr. Albert was one of the best people I’ve had the privilege of knowing. I will never forget his kind eyes, welcoming smile, and gentle demeanor. My daughter Laura, her son Eric and myself, send our sincere condolences and continued prayers. Although he will be sorely missed, may you find comfort in the wonderful memories he afforded us all. Rest in eternal peace, Mr. Albert.  

Norman was such a kind, friendly, and soft spoken man. Sincerest condolences to his family - I know he'll be greatly missed.

So sorry for your family's loss I have fond memories of Mr. Norman we worked together at Montgomery Wards in the 70's. It was my 1st job and Norman was so nice he used to give me a ride home because I didn't own a car.  May he rest peacefully.

Mr. Norm was a very nice man. I  Loved to hear stories about his life. He had a very big heart. He will be missed. May he rest in peace. 

Norman lived in the apartment in my house for 20 years.  A very kind man that loved to walk the neighborhood.  He was like a grandfather to my daughter. My family is very sorry for your loss.

Norman (Dad) was the most wonderful,  loving and caring  man I have ever known. For over nine years he was Dad. I loved him then and I will  always love him. You are safe now Dad, you are wrapped in the  arms of Jesus.

My thoughts and prayers go out to Mr. Alberts family during this very difficult time.  I live in the neighborhood and he always smiled and waved when I drove by.
