I was saddened to learn of Pat’s passing when I read the Towson High School newsletter this morning.  I knew him well in high school, but we did not see each other again until class reunions.  Pat was a fine person , a great contributor to the class after graduation, and a proponent of veterans’ causes, something we share.

Everyone was better for having met Pat! He was a great guy and will sorely be missed. I can’t help but think that one of the Steelers greatest players, Franco Harris, was there to warmly greet one of the greatest Steeler fans.

Chad, Heather, Al and I  are so heartbroken over Pat’s passing.  What a wonderful world it would be if there were more Pat Varricchio’s in it and now we have one less.  Sigh.  Our hearts and prayers go out to you and your family for the immeasurable loss  of this amazing man with a heart of gold who was a friend to all, a stranger to no one, and  loved you and his family dearly.  

Pat was one of my favorite customers at the shop. Always considerate and friendly. Even though he always had an appointment, he’d notice the lot was full and offer to bring it back another day. I always assured him it was more than ok to leave it. He always had a smile on his face and was always in a good mood. He’ll truly be missed.

The kindest most decent man I've known.  A loss to the family and everyone who was lucky enough to have met him. We'll miss you Pat.

Mr. Pat was a consummate gentleman.  He greeted you with a hearty smile and a firm handshake, even if you walked in the door when the Steelers fumbled in the 4th quarter!  We can say for sure he was among the most loving dads and granddads in all of Perry Hall -- some might say he was forged of STEEL.  Though he has left us too soon, he will continue to give us all guidance.  Victoria and the kids and I, and Slava and Leon, all of us from Florida, are keeping the family in our thoughts.

I am so very sorry to hear of Pat’s passing. He was a phenomenal man who touched all those he met. His loss will have a profound impact on all those who knew him. I am grateful to him for introducing me to the man I fell in love with and married. I am thrilled that you came to my wedding and met the love of your life. Mr Pat,
Pam and I were thick as thieves through our teens and twenties. I felt like I was part of the family and she was definitely part of mine. You were always there for fatherly advise but you also taught me some things along the way: 1) how to crack a crab claw with the perfect knife and mallet placement. 2) how to get rid of a headache with a certain temple rub technique. 3) the Family Truckster can be totaled more than once. 4) the hood of my car can be kept down with bungee straps for over a year. 5) you can drive all the way to OC without stopping. 6) if the back of your van is carpeted there is no need for seats, lawn chairs will do.
You were always there for a smile, a joke and a laugh. I will cherish the memories forever!

We are so shocked to hear about the loss of your loving husband.  When I first bought my house at auction you and Pat were the first neighbors who I met.  You even had a little welcoming party for me and included all the other neighbors so we could meet.  While my house was getting refinished Pat always kept an eye on the place knowing that I hadn't moved in yet.  He made me feel safe knowing he was watching out for me.  Then 6 years later you both welcomed my husband Gary into the neighborhood.  We couldn't ask for better neighbors and will miss Pat's smiling face sitting outside the garage and waving good morning to us as we drove off to work.  The yard sales and Covid fire pit get togethers will always be fun memories.  Pat is gone too soon but his memory will live on forever.  Gary and I are keeping you and your family in our thoughts and prayers.  If there is anything you need please let us know, we're right across the street.  

Diane, Tim, Pam and Family- We were very sorry and sad to hear of Pat’s untimely passing. We always enjoyed spending time with him at your family gatherings. We all, as well as anyone who knew Pat will greatly miss him and and as others have said his kind heart and manner. Please know that you all are in our prayers. Sorry I will not be able to attend Diane and Children, however I will watch the livestream. Our hearts were broken again to hear of his passing. Will be here to help you with all I can. Two friends and a cousin are parking Falcons at a meet somewhere and laughing. Chuck was always excited to see you two. Sending love and support your way. Breakout the cheese crackers and the sodas, have a seat and talk cars. That's what they did.

Pat was a good friend through junior high and high school.  He was the glue that held the Towson HS class of '67 together.  He will be missed.  My thoughts and prayers are with the family and Pat's many friends.

Pat, Diane and The Mason/Dixon chapter adopted us at Indianapolis in 2006.  Since then, Pat has always been by my side.

We are so deeply sorry for your loss. Our thoughts and prayers are with you. Mr. Pat was one of a kind and he will be in our hearts forever. I pray that your memories will provide comfort during this difficult time.  

Ms. Diane, Tim, Christina, Pam, and family. I don’t have the words. I’m so very sorry. My parents were just talking about how excited they were to get to see you both in Florida , and how much they enjoyed seeing you when they were there this winter. Pat was a Dear, Kind, Thoughtful Man who was more then just a friend to Steve & I, he was family.
The guys have known each other from their Army days & continued their life long friendship. We always felt his love.
Never did we ever hear any harsh words from Pat, always respectful to all.
His love for Diane, Pam & Tim & all the family was always his top priority.
We will miss Pat beyond words, our hearts are broken, till we meet again, we love you
