Phyllis A. Wright

Phyllis Ann Wright, 80, of Harrisonville, Pennsylvania passed away on August 3, 2017 in Baltimore County, Maryland. Visitation will be held at the Miller-Dippel Funeral Home in Baltimore at 6415 Belair Road on Sunday, August 6th from 2-5pm. A Memorial Service will be held on Monday, August 7th, at 11:00am at the funeral home. Burial will follow at the Moreland Memorial Park Cemetery.

Phyllis was born in McConnellsburg, Pennsylvania to Earl and Ada DeShong on November 29, 1936. She graduated from Sideling Hill School and the Maryland School for Medical recording. She married Charles Leslie Wright, Jr. of Baltimore in 1961 and was married for 50 years. She volunteered and worked at McCormick Elementary serving in many roles for over 30 years. She enjoyed spending time with her family, American History, needlepoint, and collecting cow figurines.

Phyllis is preceded in death by her parents, Earl and Ada DeShong, her husband, Chuck, and her brothers in law, Dick Ramsey and Dave Welsh. Phyllis is survived by her sisters, Dorothy Welsh and Betty Ramsey, her daughter, Cindy (Dave) Spurgeon of Cincinnati, OH, her son, Charles L. Wright III of Maryland, 4 grandchildren, Hannah and CJ Wright, and Alisa and Cassidy Spurgeon, as well as many other family members and friends.
