Rob was an amazing person - deeply religious, always positive, loving, caring. He was very special to the Huffman family, especially to our mother, Mary Jane. Memory eternal.

During a summer internship in 2019, I had the incredible fortune of getting to work under Bob's mentorship. As his mentee, I worked with him day in and day out to solve tough engineering problems while he shared as much of his infinite wisdom as possible. Every day I found myself looking forward to his teachings and stories (like the one about his harrowing first commute to Westinghouse).  It's not often you find someone as intelligent, thoughtful, and kind as Bob, and I will be forever grateful for his guidance. His passion for everything he did lives on through all of us so lucky to have known him. My sincerest condolences to the family.

I met bob right out of college. He was assigned to be my mentor who trained me ever since.  He was also my cubemate and we would just chat daily at work.  After covid I lost touch with Bob but one day reconciled with him.  I guess life got in the way after but later found out bob  no longer  was working. Getting in touch with bob in 2020 I found bob again through personal and enjoyed some chat with him. I LOVED LOVED LOVED hearing his updates, always hoping to hear them and that they kept coming. I saved every single one.  Finding out BOB was happy before crossing the rainbow bridge gives me ease, knowing that he was happy is what really matters. Love you bob so much. My condolences. He was the sweetest guy in the room with that bow tie. Love you bob. May you find peace always in heaven  

For years, every time I walked out of the kitchenette, there was Bob with his bowtie and smile, willing to talk about work or the weather or the astronomy "pic of the day". I remember him entertaining the kids at the department picnic with water-powered soda bottle rockets and such things.  I wish his family peace and condolences, and I'm thankful to have known such a pleasant soul.

I had the good fortune to know Bob and work with him over the years at Northrop Grumman. He was a skilled engineer and one of the most upbeat and kind people I have ever met. He was always in a good mood and had a great sense of humor - he just made things easier by being around and helping out. He will be deeply missed. Peace upon him and his family. 

Bob was the first person I ever worked with at Northrop Grumman as an intern back in 2015. Bob loved to tell stories about his pizza tours, his weekend trip to Coney Island, his first meal after getting married to his wife, and how he started doing bicep curls with his lunch box on the way to work. Bob took me and a few interns out to lunch at Mission BBQ as a thank you for helping him with his work. My interactions with him were truly memorable and I am thankful to have known him!

Bob loved telling stories about his pizza tours, his weekend trip to Coney Island, his first meal after marrying his wife, and how he had started doing bicep curls with his lunchbox on the walk into work. Some of the stories came up more than once, but his charisma made the stories interesting every time. After working with him, he took me and a couple other interns out to lunch at Mission BBQ. Every interaction was truly memorable with him, and I'm thankful to have known him briefly. 

Mitchell Wolf

I first worked with Bob on the A12 program about 1988. Our careers were interwoven as our paths repeatedly crossed at different site, Airport Sqaure III, Columbia, East and West Buildings, Hunt Valley, Sykesville and Oceanic.  Most tasks were challenging and some stressful.  Those challenges were made easier with Bob on the team.  His calm temperament helped ease tensions.  I greatly enjoyed our conversations regarding family and faith.   My condolences to Cheryl and the family for the lost.

     Bob was the most optimistic upbeat guy I know.  Always spreading cheer while he was working at Westinghouse/NGC.  It was great when I saw the bowtie coming around the corner.   May Bob spread joy from heaven now.  Rest in peace.

I am deeply saddened by Bob’s passing. It was always enjoyable working with Bob because he provided positive energy with kindness, supportive comments and positive attitude. He will be greatly missed.

Bob was one of the first people I worked with at Northrop Grumman. I'll always remember his never-ending supply of bow ties, his positive attitude towards everything, and his love for teaching (both at work and at the community college where he taught). Thoughts and prayers for Cheryl and the rest of the family. He was a wonderful man and will surely be missed by many. 

Bob was one of the nicest engineers I had the pleasure to work with over my years at NGC. He took an interest in my family and remembered many of the stories throughout the years I shared with him.  He was always smiling and a pleasant person to be around. He will be missed. My prayers go out to his family.


My sincere condolences to Bob's wife and family. I worked with Bob at Westinghouse/Northrop Grumman for many years. Bob was a wonderful person! Always pleasant, positive and a joy to work with! He was a "prince of a guy"! An excellent engineer, always personable, a great listener, full of understanding and patience even when the pressure was on with critical program task assignments. Bob always maintained a calm demeanor! Thoughts and prayers for all at this time.



Bob was a great co-worker and friend. I enjoyed working with him on several projects and helping him with supplier issues that arose from time to time. Bob will be missed.  

Bob was very kind and supportive. Everything about Bob, his actions and positive demeanor were uplifting. You surely will be missed. My sincere condolences go out to Cheryl and their family.
