I will never forget the first time I met you, you walked up to the group of people I was talking to, rested your arm on my head and introduced yourself to me. I laughed and our friendship began. From that day one you never called me Ellen, always just Shorty.
Reat in peace my friend and watch over your children, family and friends. Until we meet again.

Oh Shawn, learning the news of your passing has really weighed heavy on me. I hope you are pain free and happy up there in heaven but you will be sorely missed down here. I know life has taken us to different states and it’s been a while since we’ve taken those fireball shots but I’ll tell you what every time i even smell something cinnamon that’s what i think of, you walking around the parking lot tail gating at some country concert some where with your handle of fireball in hand ready to party with who ever was brave enough to do so with you lol. I am happy i had the opportunity to be your friend big arm your a great person!! I love you bro.

Shawn was a young man with a great sense for what was right. I remember him on several occasions outraged, standing in the hallway, where he had been sent due to speaking out for another student. He came back to visit me after he had graduated, I was impressed with the man he had become.
