Stephanie is survived by her loving husband, Matthew Weigl, and her two precious children, Zachary and Abigail, who were the center of her world. She is also survived by her mother and best friend, Michelle Hobbs, her father, Timothy Fredritz, and her stepfather, Patrick Hobbs. She leaves behind her siblings, Jonathan Fredritz, Chad Fredritz, and Victoria Fredritz, as well as her stepbrother, Clifton Hobbs.
Stephanie had a smile that would light up any room and a warmth that drew people to her instantly. Nothing brought her more happiness than being a mother. Stephanie poured her heart into raising Zachary and Abigail, cherishing every moment with her babies. Her faith was a cornerstone of her life, and she carried that love and joy into everything she did. She brought warmth, comfort, and laughter to her family and friends, and made everyone around her feel cherished and loved.
Beyond her gentle and loving nature, Stephanie dedicated her life to selflessly caring for others. As a nurse she brought the same compassion and tenderness to her patients that she gave so freely to her family and friends. Stephanie was also remarkably strong and courageous. She faced life's challenges with a quiet bravery that inspired everyone around her; never losing her positive spirit or her love for those closest to her. She was a fighter through and through. Stephanie’s strength will be remembered as one of her most beautiful qualities.
Stephanie will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing and loving her. Her legacy lives on in her children, her family, and the countless lives she touched with her kindness, courage, and beautiful spirit.
A memorial service celebrating Stephanie’s life will be held on Saturday, July 18, 2026, at 2:00 pm at Grace Community Church, 11611 Belair Rd., Kingsville, MD 21087.
