Stephen Wesley Young, age 74, passed on August 19, 2026. He was the beloved husband of Sue Young; devoted father of Jeanne Gonzalez and her husband Noamel , Eva Dandois and her husband Justin; dear brother of Terri Young Franks, Scott Young; loving grandfather of Olivia Gonzalez, Connor Shepley, and Jack Dandois; he is survived by his loving and devoted brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nieces, and nephews. All were a cherished part of his life and brought him countless moments of love, laughter, and joy.
Steve's love for his family was at the heart of who he was. He was happiest simply being with his people, whether gathered together at home, cheering on the Ravens, or enjoying the family's annual beach vacations—traditions and moments together that became some of his most treasured memories. Steve also took great pride in his work and spent 44 years as an engineer with Northrop Grumman. Through all the seasons of his life, he will be remembered for his devotion to his family, his steadfast presence, and the genuine joy he found in sharing life with the people he loved.

A Funeral Mass will be held at St. Joseph Catholic Church, 8420 Belair Rd, Perry Hall, MD 21236, on Tuesday, August 25, 2026, at 10:00 am, followed by a Committal Service at St. Joseph Catholic Church Cemetery.
