Donna, Patrick, Pat, Matthew, Shannon, Sean, and Tom, Jr. Please forgive me for not coming to the funeral home to pay my respects and to say good bye to Tommy. I was vacationing in Florida and just returned home tonight. I am really sorry I wasn't in town. 

Donna did leave a message on my telephone voice mail system. I have since talked to her. 

I loved Tommy and I feel just horrible that I wasn't in town to pay my respects to him.

I love you all and I hope you can forgive me for not being able to come to the funeral home and attend the funeral.

Dear Butler Family,
Please accept my condolences for the passing of "Tommy" (Mr. Butler to me). He was a great friend to my family, and gave me my first paying job as a detailer for used cars that he sold in his business. His other gifts to me and my family are too numerous to count, the most valuable of which was a robust friendship and commitment to neighborly commaraderie. I genuinely grieve to hear he has passed and wish you all the best.

Tommy, you greeted everyone with a warm welcoming smile & a kind word & you will be greatly missed! You were always such a gentleman to be around, such a rarity these days! My thoughts & prayers go out to your family. I pray they find comfort & peace in the wonderful memories you shared together! God Bless & rest in peace my friend.
