I did't know your dad doc and your brother Bo but what I do know with a son and a brother like you two I'm positive he was a great man. I'm so so sorry your loss, please accept my heart felt condolence. My thoughts and prays go out to you two and your family's - may the Lord richly bless you.

Gonna miss Tim.  I always enjoyed talking to him at the EBL barbecues or whenever I stopped by the office.  That wasn't too often but it was enough for me to know that he was a gentle, down to earth guy who cared about the people around him, especially his family.

Tim was such a good man, a friend to travel with, share a laugh and a story with, on the sidelines during our sons' many years of baseball.  And how blessed were we when two of our children fell in love, got married and we became family.  We'll miss Tim and think of him with love and a smile. Tim Dougherty, I can't believe you are gone. My heart hurts right now knowing we are all going to have to go on without your wicked sense of humor and one-of-a-kind gift for telling stories and making us all laugh. To your beloved family, I am thinking of you, sending prayers and love your way for what you must be going through. If it helps bring a smile or lift your spirit just a bit, I want you all to know that your husband and father and brother and son was one of the best people I knew on this earth. Tim was and always will be part of so many special memories I'll now cherish forever: slugging through our Accounting major together at Loyola--a couple of local yocals going to rock the business world as CPA'a, all the great times on the softball field, then later as husbands and Dads sharing hilarious stories about your family and your beloved kids. You are the real deal, Tim--a family man the way we are all supposed to be.  I miss you bad. But I'll always smile for having known you and had you in my life.  To the Dougherty family, thank you for sharing your Tim with the rest of us. He was a special and genuine man. A gift to us all. I know you are up there now telling St. Peter and whoever will listen all about your wife and kids.

Dear Tim,

I will truly miss you.  You were my mentor when I started in public accounting. I always turned to you when I needed guidance and direction.   You were always there to cheer me up when I felt down. You were an amazing craftsman as proven by the flooring you installed at my house.  I look at that floor and it reminds me off you.  You were truly a family man as evidenced by that apartment you built in the basement of your house for your children to live in.  I truly hope you can find peace and happiness up there in heaven.

May God bless your wife, children and soon to be grandchildren.

You were a wonderful friend, professional mentor and a one of a kind boss.  You had a heart of gold and a contagious laugh, and no one will ever be able to fill your shoes.  You always saw the humor in life and that was something I always enjoyed with you.  My kids loved coming in to the office to see you and you were never short on time to say hi, play with them or listen to their stories.  It won't be the same without you but I'll always remember what a wonderful person you were and how much I enjoyed getting to work for you.

We are so very sorry for your loss.  You are all in our thoughts and prayers.  His legacy will live on in his children and soon to be grandchildren.  You will always have a guardian angel watching over you.  Carry his love with you always.

Selfishly, this hurts pretty bad.  To Tim's family, Fran, Bo, Cheri (did I spell that right?), Lisa, Mike, Pat and Kelly, I'm so deeply sorry for your loss.  Tim will be remembered for many things from his lifetime, but ever since Mike was born, it has been ALL about the kids!!  You all either know the stories and memories that I had with Tim,  along with all of our very close friends for many years.  Words cannot describe the feeling of loss I selfishly have, knowing that your loss is much greater.  I could write a book on the memories of my friend and everyone of them will be remembered like they were yesterday.  I never minded getting in one of those 1-2 hour long conversations because after walking  away, I always felt better, and was lucky enough to have one of those just this past Monday. The conversations, the stories, the advice, playing baseball/softball, the sincere friendship, the overwhelming love and care he had for his family, are just a few things I think of when I think of Tim.  But, the one thing I immediately do when someone says Tim Dougherty, is play 2 songs in my mind: To Tim, my good friend, I sing with you, (and a few friends)..."I'll write a Song for You", and "Close The Doors".   To Tim's family, I love you as my thoughts and prayers are all coming your way.

A man who loved, loved, loved his family and put them above all else. A man willing to help you, discuss with you or advise you on anything from home improvements to politics and everything in between! Tim loved conversation. He was definitely the "go to guy." You will be greatly missed and the Denton's were proud to call you friend.

To say I’m devastated by the loss of my one-of-a-kind friend is an understatement. I’ll miss you Tim and our many conversations about politics, singing Earth Wind and Fire songs and laughing at your off-color jokes. You’ll always be remembered fondly.  My heart is broken for my loss. Don’t worry, I’ll keep Frannie company. 

Dear Fran and family...My deepest sorrow for the love of your life and an amazing dad.  I will always remember Tim, at our family get-togethers, willing giving financial advice to who ever asked him for it ( I know Peg and Pop sure depended on him). But most of all I will remember Tim's laughter! He and Pop always had to out do each other in the joke department. My love and prayers will be with you now and always.
