Born August 29, 1956, and raised in Berwyn, Maryland (now College Park) to the late Wade Leroy Coffey, Sr. and Evelyn Coffey, Wade was not to be outworked. Employed as a mover and truck driver since age 16, he was adamant about treating each of his customers like family. A jack of all trades, he was quick to help anyone around him with anything from car repairs to leaky faucets. He was passionate about passing on knowledge learned from past generations to his kids. When he wasn't working, he enjoyed watching the Redskins, riding 3-wheelers, listening to Elvis Presley, playing video games, and most of all spending time with family.
He is predeceased in death by his parents; Wade and Evelyn, and siblings; Frances Lovecchio, Robert, Dean, and Donald Coffey. He is survived by his spouse, Darlene Kemzura, his children; Stephen (Christina) Coffey, Stephanie (Tim) Coffey, Cory Coffey, and Jeremy (Heather) Erdman, along with three nephews he raised as his own; Victor, Erik and Daniel Sepulveda. He is also survived by his grandchildren; Scarlett and Gavin (Stephen), and Caleb, Caiden Erdman, Allison Goodnow, Tanner, Brantley and Mason Erdman (Jeremy). Furthermore he is survived by his brother Mike (Mona) Coffey, youngest sister, Joyce Sepulveda, along with many nieces and nephews from New York to Kansas.
Wade was to some a superhero, to others Santa Claus, and to all a father.
