Walter Milton Wiedeck

On February 13, 2021, Walter Milton Wiedeck passed away. He was the beloved husband of Barbara A. Wiedeck (nee Pence); devoted father of Glen W. Wiedeck and his wife Tracy; loving grandfather of Zachary R. Wiedeck and Brooke A. Wiedeck; dear brother of the late Sharon M. Bialek and her late husband Robert; cherished brother-in-law of John L. Pence, and the late Dennis J. Pence, Joseph F. Pence, and W. Kelly Pence; beloved uncle of Tony Pence, as well as many other loving nieces and nephews. Relatives and friends are invited to gather at the Schimunek Funeral Home, Inc., 9705 Belair RD, Nottingham, MD 21236, on Wednesday, February 17, 2021, from 3-5 PM and 7-9 PM. A funeral service will be held on Thursday, February 18, 2021, at 10 AM, at the funeral home. Interment services will follow at Holy Rosary Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in Walter's name to the Baltimore Humane Society, 1601 Nicodemus RD, Reisterstown, MD 21136.

GLEN---I FIRST MET YOUR FATHER WHEN I WORKED THE FIRST SUPPLEMENTAL SHIFT IN THE OLD DUNDALK STATION---AS A NEW OFFICER I WAS BASICALLY AT A LOSS---YOUR FATHER MADE IT EASIER LEARN THE ROPES---2 OF THE FUNNIEST THINGS I HAD HONOR TO WITNESS ABOUT HIM WERE THE FOLLOWING----FIRST WAS THE TIME HE PRONOUNCED AND COUPLE HUSBAND & WIFE AND ON ANOTHER SUPPLEMENTAL SHIFT PRONOUNCING THEM DIVORCED===THE SECOND WAS HIS REACTION HE HAD AFTER SEEING THE FIRST JAWS MOVIE.--HE SWORE HE WOULD NEVER GO INTO THE WATER AGAIN --THEN HE TRANSFERRED TO THE MARINE UNIT.===PRAYERS AND CONODOLENCES TO YOU AND YOUR FAMILY---WORKING WITH YOUR DAD MADE THE SHIFT GO EASIER===TAKE CARE AND STAY SAFE ====THOM PLACEK (1898)
