William "Bill" Elroy Tankersley

On December 26, 2018, William "Bill" Elroy Tankersley passed away. He was the beloved husband of the late Joan M. Tankersley (nee Yurek); devoted father of Kevin J. Tankersley, and Richard M. Tankersley; dear brother of the late James Tankersley, Beatrice Tankersley Keiser and her husband Ray, Mary Tankersley Heim and her husband Frederick, Bertha Tankersley Greek and her husband Bill, and Robert and Harvey Tankersley; cherished brother-in-law of Betty and Kay Tankersley. William is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.

Relatives and friends are invited to visit at Schimunek Funeral Home, Inc. 9705 Belair Rd., Nottingham, MD 21236, on Sunday, December 30, 2018 from 2-4pm and 7-9pm. A funeral mass will be celebrated on Monday at 10:30am at Our Lady Queen of Peace Catholic Church. Interment services will follow at Holly Hill Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in William’s name to Our Lady Queen of Peace Church, 10003 Bird River Rd., Middle River, MD 21220.
