On July 22, 2025, William (Bill) L. McColligan passed away peacefully surrounded by his loving family. Bill is the beloved husband of Elaine B. McColligan; devoted father of Melissa A. McColligan Borger and husband Stephen A. and the late Calvin A. McColligan and his surviving wife Nancy J. Mesis; loving grandfather of Bridgitte M. Hessler and husband Mark D., Nicholas A. and Elizabeth A. Borger, and the late Sean A. McColligan; great-grandfather of Taylor M. and Carter A. McColligan, Miles E., Isabelle C., and Vivienne M. Hessler.
Relatives and friends will gather at the Schimunek Funeral Home, Inc., 9705 Belair Rd, Nottingham MD 21236, on Saturday, July 26, 2025, from 10 a.m.-1 p.m., with a funeral service at 1 p.m., at the funeral home. Interment will immediately follow at Gardens of Faith Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations can be directed to prostate cancer research at Charitable Giving | Johns Hopkins Sidney Kimmel Comprehensive Cancer Center
