Charles Kelly Sr.

Charles (Chuck) P. Kelly Sr. 1940-2011 Charles P. Kelly Sr. (Chuck) passed away at his home surrounded by his loving family February 28, 2011. He was 70. Chuck is survived by his loving wife of 43 years, Laura; He was a loving father to Charles Patrick Kelly Jr. and Cathy (Kelly) Hayes. Father-in-law to Eric Hayes, Grandfather to Payton, Mackenzie, Laura and Abby and devoted master to his beloved dog, Maggie. Charles P. Kelly Sr. was born March 13, 1940 in Queens, New York. Chuck enlisted in the United States Navy after his graduation in 1958. After the 4 years in the Navy, Chuck settled in San Francisco, where he worked 35 years for Fireman's Fund in both San Francisco and Novato. After retirement, he started his own travel company and planned travel for many friends and family. He did also travel extensively, enjoying cruises and visiting Hawaii often, especially Maui. Chuck was an avid golfer who enjoyed weekly rounds locally and in Bodega Bay. Chuck was a founding member and officer for the Pioneer Golf Club from 2002 to present. Family and Friends are invited to remember Chuck at a Memorial Service Tuesday, March 8th at 11:00 AM at Good Shepard Lutheran Church, 1180 Lynwood Drive, Novato. In lieu of flowers the family requests that donations be made to Hospice by the Bay.
