I just found out about Danielle and my heart is so heavy with this sad news.  Danielle and I met more than 30 years ago while working in the slipper shop in San Francisco and we kept in touch throughout our lives.  We became fast friends and were roommates for awhile until I moved to Paris.  She was a wonderful friend and I will miss her very much.  I didn't even know she was ill and I had talked to her in early December and she never mentioned it to me.  You were a great friend Danielle and I will miss you so much.  We had wonderful conversations when she finally figured out the phone app Tango.  We had good times and laughed a lot. She always told me that she used my popcorn bowl and always thought about me.  She was a very loving person and loved her children very much.  Madeline and Shaun, I am so very sorry that your mother has left. It was too soon.  Danielle you should still be here laughing with me and talking.  I miss you.

The last time I saw Danielle was when Maddy was a newborn, in San Francisco.  Danielle was my cousin. Her father, Bill, was the brother my mother was closest to.  We spent many happy childhood days with Danielle, Marc, aunt Madeleine and uncle Bill in Fontainebleau, in Beirut and Jerusalem.  We had an especially wonderful holiday together on the Adriatic coast of Italy.  I remember Danielle as a beautiful young girl, at home in French and English.  I know from members of my family that she took good care of her father as he got older.  My condolences to Maddy and Shaun and Marc.

I met Danielle in 1981 when Chris and I stayed with Uncle Bill in Honolulu for a couple of weeks. She was so warm and generous and fun. She took us to her favorite beaches, hiking in the hills and she cooked wonderful meals in her cool little house. Her French accent was still very present and she could walk in high heels like nobody I've known since.
The last time that I saw her was 2 years ago in Cotati. Her warmth and generosity remained and it was great to see her. 
I'll miss her for a long time.

My heart is so heavy for the loss of a great friend.  Danielle and I lived next door for several years and had come to be very close friends and shared many great memories.  She was such a dedicated mother.  Even though I hadn't seen much of her in recent years, when we did meet it was like no time had past.  I saw her a few weeks ago and grateful I was able to hug her and tell her I loved her.  She will be forever in my heart as well as her two children, Shaun & Maddy.  Rest in peace my friend!

Our prayers are with you Maddy and Shaun. Though its been years since we were together she was always fun. Softball brought so many young girls together to form our softball family. Miss those days and your Mom will always be remembered. Love always Judi,Dave, Jenny and Mandy Johnson

I'm sad to hear of her passing. I knew Danielle through her kids. She was always sweet to be around and you could tell her kids meant the world to her. Rest in peace Danielle.

I  have known Danielle for many years,  she and I started working together many years age and gradually became good friends. I will miss her very much.

I was very saddened to hear of Danielle's passing. Especially that it happened so soon after Bill died. She never really got the vacation she deserved. She and I were a month apart in age, and because of it, I always felt a bond between us. I remember playing together at the house in Barbizon France when we were young and full of spirit and energy. I remember the family get together at the beach in Catolica Italy. All wonderful and happy memories. Again I'm so sorry to hear of her passing.
