

Loving wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother took her last breath on Wednesday, August 28, 2013. She was born on January 23, 1930 growing up on the family farm in Wilmot, South Dakota. After graduating from Wilmot High she eventually moved to Minneapolis, Minnesota and worked at First National Bank. During this time she met and 2 years later married Harold Stanley Wood on September 18, 1954. The devoted couple was just shy of celebrating their 59th wedding anniversary.
They moved to San Jose, California in 1957 and have lived in Novato, California since 1971. They have been active members of the Presbyterian Church of Novato. Lois was a life time member of the Order of Eastern Star and an active parent and grandparent in the Novato Rainbow Girls. She worked as the manager of the food service department at San Marin High for many years.
She was a caring mother of 5 children; Hal (Juli) Wood, Kathy Roan, Carol (Mike) Robinson, David (Christine) Wood and Renee Garza, a wonderful Grandmother of 6; Allan, Michael, Megan, Nathan, Andrew and Sarah. She adored her 3 great grandchildren; Sophia, Emma and Matthew. She has enjoyed watching her many nephews and nieces grow up and raise families of their own.
She was very close to her siblings and will be dearly missed by her brother, Darold (Darlene) Davis and sister, Marlys Bruneau along with her brother-in-laws, Donald Wood and Harold Wibeto, and sister-in-law MaryAnn Wood (Wally) Bekowies. She was preceded in death by her sister Darlene Wibeto and brother-in-laws Milton Bruneau and James Wood.
Visitations will be held on September 4th and 5th from 1-5pm at Keaton Redwood Chapel on Novato Blvd. Memorial services will take place at the Presbyterian Church of Novato at 11:00 AM on Saturday September 14th. Memorial donations may be made to The American Cancer Society or the Presbyterian Church of Novato.
