Our sympathy to Jacks family. Jack lived right up the street from me and we played a lot of alley basketball. Great athlete and a great role model for a lot of young people as he went to high school. He will be missed.

It was with great sadness that I heard of Jack's passing.  He was  a close personal friend for so many years.  He will  be missed.

Very sorry to learn of Jack's death. he was the quarterback on Virginia High team and I had the privilege to play 2 years with him on that team. He was also an outstanding basketball player.  Wilson Salter '53.

My sympathy to the family of Jack.  My husband Bill Wirtanen played basketball with Jack in high school.  They got to the MN State basketball tournament in 1952 and Jack made a last minute shot to win, however, it was after the buzzer and no one ever forgot that.  I lost my husband 6 months ago, so I am hoping that they are now playing in a better ball court.
