I am so saddened to hear about Kathy’s passing! I worked with Kathy for many many years at the County of Marin. Over the years, Kathy and I talked a lot about our military dads and our love of animals. We frequently shared cute animal pictures together at work!
Kathy and I also moved into our new homes at the same time and talked about how we were setting up our homes. She talked very excitedly about her quilting/sewing room.
I will miss her wit and our fun conversations. My love goes out to her family at this time!

I am a Marin County Adoptions social worker who worked with Kathi for 15 years. She became a work matriarch ...she had a BIG HEART. You could see this when she greeted our little ones and staff pets as they came through the office. I will miss her humor so much. I am grateful I have a little of her spirit in my home through a beautiful quilted picture of my Koa that she made for me. Laugh in peace ...Rest in Peace Kathi.

I was a new member when Kathy became President of the MTQG. She was very welcoming & encouraging. Then I had the fun experience sitting next to her during a workshop on paper piecing.
What a whiz she was! What great sense of balance, color, & more.....
Her work was wonderful! She admitted to loving paper piecing & offered her advice from huge experience there. I'm saddened that her creativity has been stilled. RIP, Kathy.

I knew Kathi from Marin Needle Arts Guild. She taught me how to hand stitch a binding. She was always so kind to me and I will never forget how steady her skilled hands were as she taught me how to stitch. I will miss you Kathi.

I knew Kathi in the Mt. Tam Quilt Guild. We worked together when she was our president. She gave me support and encouragement while I served as the Publicity representative. She thanked me for thinking" outside the box "with informing Marin's community of the guild's mission. I appreciated her remarkable creativity and was really impressed with the workshop she taught in how to dye fabric. My sincere sympathy to her family and close friends.

Kathi and I were coworkers for 15 years, at the County of Marin. Over the years, we became friends in and outside of work, and joined forces, raising money for and participating in the annual Walk for Alzheimer's event. Kathi was smart and kind, with a humorous dry wit and hearty laugh. She found joy in teaching others, whether it was demonstrating a technical task or sharing her knowledge on any one of the vast subject matters that held her interest - which were many. I will miss Kathi very much, both in the office and at our social gatherings out side the office; she had a big personality that will stay with many of us for a very long time to come. Thoughts and prayers to the family.

I have known Kathi for about 15 years and we have worked together and for the same unit for most of that time. She baked weekly for all the staff and did crafting classes in the kitchen. She loved her work and helping out when needed. She was passionate about her quilting and created some of the most beautiful quilts. Some for our expecting moms and special occasions. I am so sad to hear off her passing. Kathi you will be missed and I believe you are watching over your family and friends. Already missing you.

I'm so sorry for the loss of Kathy. I've known her for many years at the County of Marin. When I was first introduced to Kathy, she reminded me that I knew her from many years ago - my sons, Marc and Tracy, were on a bowling team with Jennifer, Kathy's daughter. I will miss her, I will miss looking at her beautiful creative quilts, and just plain miss her. Prayers to Kathy's family. Judy
