Kirk, you were practically my birthday twin missing it by one day, but it was tradition that we called eachother wishing happy birthdays & sending our love. I'll miss that the most. You were a knight in shining armor when you met Sonya & loved her with all your heart. In turn we all loved  you you for that- then rejoiced in the birth of Deanna & the perfect family unit you became. You were a good man, funny as hell making me laugh til it hurt, loyal & generous with the people you cared about. I'll miss you dearly. Gone too soon , yet no longer suffering ~ God Bless You. I know I'll see you again 🙏 May you rest in peace my brother! 

How is it possible to explain to others that which has been lost to you? Kirk was my only sibling and he was the older of us two so it feels very unnatural to lose him so soon. My brother and myself were just about polar opposite, so now I will have to learn how to deal with the new balance in my life moving forward. I can only hope that others were impacted by the joy he had for life and not by the struggles he indured. I pray that he truly did give his life to Jesus so that one day I can see him again in a perfect and glorified body. I will miss you more than you know bro!

I don't know how it's possible to explain how I feel in less than 2,000 words.  I used to be able to sleep at night comfortably knowing that my brother lock her was there with my sister Shawn yet and their daughter Deanna.  I didn't get to spend much time with them because I moved away from California but the little time that I did share with my brother was great in every way you could imagine.  I have a hard time writing this because I'm going through a period of time where I'm reflecting on everyone that I've lost in the last 20 years.  Losing Kirk is really hard but knowing that he no longer has to suffer this world is a blessing.  I know that ever since I first met him he believed in Jesus and he was on a path to make his life the best possible life that he could afford himself and others.  I know I'll probably never be dearly as great as him but I can only hope that one day I get to have a glimpse of what he had as far as happiness.  The Lord asks us to follow him and abandon this world.  I truly believe Kirk will be waiting for us on the other side.

You loved my sister dearly , and because of that , I did love you too, my heart is broken, you left to soon, who will call me now in the middle of the night?
