Mary passed away peacefully on December 8 , 2015 at age 89 at home in Novato. She is survived by her four children, Elaine, Phil, Yvette and Joe, four grandchildren, Solomon, Eric, Emma and Josefina, her sister Gracie, two nieces, Mary and Suzie and their children. She has joined her husband George Bellan of over 50 years in heaven. Mary was a devote catholic her whole life and worked at Our Lady of Mt. Carmel’s salvage shop in Mill Valley for over 30 years. She was brought up in Huntington Park California but always longed for nature, so as soon as she was old enough she moved to Yosemite where she lived for 5 years, then to Hawaii, finally settling in Northern California. Mary was active and healthy her whole life, she loved hiking and skiing and was an active member of the Oakland ski club for years. Music and dancing were also her passion, big band and swing being her favorite. She was an avid gardener growing vegetables and flowers galore. She will be remember with love.
