Mary Tumas, 96, of Novato, California, passed away on May 19, 2015. She was born in Chicago, Illinois on August 14, 1918. Mary Zelbanski was married to Martin John Tumas on July 26, 1941. Mary was a homemaker and her husband, Martin John Tumas worked as a photoengraver in Chicagoland. Mary had a passion for gardening, Bible study and church activities. She is survived by Diane E. Tumas (daughter) and Dani Marie Kleist (daughter-in-law). She was preceded in death by her husband Martin John Tumas and son Martin Michael Tumas as well as sisters Antoinette Zelbanski/Knapik/Szymanski and Estelle
Zelbanski/Selcz/Kolniak and brothers Joseph Zelbanski and Clements Zelbanski (Zane). A memorial gathering will be held at Keaton's Redwood Chapel of Marin in Novato on Wednesday, May 27th, 2015 at 1pm. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to Hospice by the Bay.
