Timothy Brian Brown July 2, 1959 May 29, 2012 Passed away very unexpectedly on May 29, 2012. Born to Christopher and Doreen Brown in San Francisco, Tim grew up in Daly City, CA, and attended Our Lady of Perpetual Help and Archbishop Riordan High School. He went to Skyline College, and later obtained a degree in Business from San Francisco State Univ. He worked several years at CALA Foods in San Francisco before moving to Petaluma, and later, to Novato. During this time he obtained his insurance license and worked as an insurance agent and eventually was able to establish the Tim Brown Allstate Insurance Agency. Tim was a devoted member of the San Rafael Lions Club and could be found every year at the Lions Beer Booth at the Marin County Fair, and he was a very active member of the San Rafael Chamber of Commerce. In 2006, Tim garnered the Chamber's Spirit of Marin Award for Small Business of the Year. He was a wonderful agent who developed his business by putting people and relationships with clients first. He was the one you wanted to have as your agent and he genuinely cared about his clients. His desire to help people and his love for volunteering were hallmarks of his personality. In 2011, Tim sold his business and began working at the Lazar Allstate Insurance Agency. In 2002, Tim married Mary June Alms and together they had two beautiful sons, Gregory Christian (age 8) and Aaron Patrick (age 6). Tim's love for his children was evident to anyone who saw Tim with his boys. He was a fun-loving, engaged, loving father. Tim's bond with his boys was beautiful to behold he hugged and kissed his boys, showered them with affection, wrestled with them, took them camping and fishing, was constantly at their sporting events, and spent much time teaching the boys interesting trivia or talking to them about current events. He loved establishing traditions with his sons. He took them out for hot chocolate and donuts every Friday morning and played Uno with them on Friday nights. Tim loved to spoil his boys, and every time the boys took a shower, he would throw towels in the dryer so they would have hot towels when they got out. He sought ways to make his children know they were loved. Tim had a wide circle of friends from all walks of life. He was known for his huge smile, for his loyalty and devotion, for his compassion, and for his fun-loving and upbeat personality. He made friends easily because he was warm, liked to laugh, tell jokes, and would always laugh heartily at himself. His sense of humor and love of life were infectious and if you spent a few minutes with Tim, you would soon find yourself laughing. Tim loved traveling, learning about history, reading trivia, playing card games, entertaining friends, and cooking and baking. He was an avid SF Giants fan. Tim is survived by his brothers, Christopher, Richard, David, and Daniel, and his sisters-in-law Diane, Claudia, and Josephine, and by his brother-in-law, Anthony Alms and sister-in-law, Rebecca Alms, by his Aunt Marie, and by many nephews, nieces, cousins, who reside all over the world. Tim was pre-deceased by his father, Chris, and mother, Doreen. There are no words to describe how missed Tim will be. His absence leaves a tremendous void in the lives of many people, and in the Marin community. He touched lives everywhere he went and his life was full of meaning. His memory will last eternally. Memorial services for Tim will be on Monday, June 4, 2012, at 1:00 p.m. at Our Lady of Loretto Church in Novato. In lieu of flowers, the family asks for donations to be made to the Tim Brown Memorial Fund at Circle Bank in Novato, to benefit his sons' education.
