Jane Boscacci passed away at the age of 90 on July 25, 2021 in Novato, California where she had resided for over 40 years. Jane was born and raised in Detroit, Michigan with her parents and 3 brothers. She was kind, soft spoken, a quiet force and a “Career Woman” ahead of her time. In the early 1950’s she began a long-standing professional career in the communications industry. She started as a switchboard operator at Michigan Bell. After several years she moved to California with her loving husband Louis where she continued in this field. She diligently and patiently moved up the ranks working in the various departments, including; Hiring, Human resources, Management, and ultimately finishing in Environment and Safety. In her many years; utilizing educational opportunities, she advanced in the company, gained numerous certifications, and took on travel which she willingly and graciously accepted. Jane was a dedicated employee and truly “loved her job.” She received many promotions and awards for outstanding performance. Jane was proud to have worked in the Telecom industry for over 50 years.
Jane loved her family and when she couldn’t be with them she spent hours on the telephone catching up. Jane’s hobbies included crocheting, reading cookbooks and trying new recipes, watching classic movies, shopping, and cuddling with her dog. Her favorite vacations were those that involved slot machines, whether it be in Reno, Las Vegas or on a Caribbean cruise.
Jane was a member of the I.C.F. - Italian Catholic Federation, The Swiss Athletic Club, The Pro Ticino, and the Catholic Daughters of America for many years.
Jane is survived by her devoted husband Louis, her brother Albert (Lucy), her daughters Kathy (Tom) Mayer and Michelle (Louis) Piro and daughter-in -law Sandra (Michael) Armstrong.
Jane was proud and bragged often of her 12 wonderful grandchildren, Tommy, David (Sarah), Michael Jr., Allen, Debbie (James), Chrissy (Steven), Jackie (Jerry), Denise (Larry), Matthew, Andrew, Anthony and John. Her 14 great grandchildren and 19 great, great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents Rinda and Arthur, her brothers Jesse (Burna), William(Lillian) and most recently her loving son Michael (Sandra) Armstrong.
Services for Jane will be held on August 7,2021.
Viewing begins at 10:30am followed by an 11:00am Funeral Mass at St. Christopher Catholic Church, 2278 Booksin Ave, San Jose California
