

Charles (often called Charlie) was born in Oak Harbor, WA on April 20th, 1947 and left us there on June 1st, 2014, age 67. He was the first born of Ralph Warren Lindsay Jr. and wife Dorothy of Coupeville. He was a retired marine mechanic having learned the trade from his father at Lindsay’s Marina located on Front Street in Coupeville. He spent most of his working years at Skyline Marina in Anacortes. Except for his military service, he lived his whole life in Coupeville, Anacortes, Sedro Woolley and Oak Harbor. He served his country for 7 years in the USMC (Combat Engineer, 19 months outside Da Nang including Tet 68). He is survive by his three brothers, William Hugh Lindsay of Raleigh, NC; Ronald James Lindsay Sr. of Orange, VA; Ralph Anton Lindsay of San Diego, CA; and two sons Michael Lee Lindsay, currently at Joint Base Lewis-McCord, WA and Michael Alan Lindsay of Little Chute, WI. A celebration of his life will be held at Burley Funeral Chapel, Oak Harbor at 11a.m. Friday, June 27th.
