

Born in Ohio, on November 27, 1916, she spent her early years in Columbus, Ohio, graduating from Central Columbus High School in 1935.
She worked in a bakery and the restaurant business, moving to southern California to be near family in the 1940’s.
There she met her future husband, Forrest Lett, who was serving in the Navy. They married in 1948 and relocated to Guam the following year.
Louise was a devoted naval wife and loving mother to their three children, Leslie Diane, Russel Glen and Mark Allan. In the mid 1950’s, the family settled in Oak Harbor, where she resided for her life. Her husband, Forrest, passed away in July 1982 after 34 years of marriage.
Louise loved to sew, bake and contribute to the United Methodist Church community where she served on numerous outreach communities and was a faithful member. Her heart was dedicated to blessing people, cheerful in nature and always steadfast in her faith to God.
She is lovingly remembered by her three children, her son-in-law Terry Braaten; her grandchildren Tyrell Lett, Rachelle Lett, Karen Lett, Tonia Olson, Kirsten Buckley, Thomas Braaten, Rebecca Pefley, Jessica Lindbo, as well as numerous great grandchildren and one great-great granddaughter.
A private service was held on Monday, March 20th at Fern Hill Cemetery, Anacortes, conducted by her beloved pastor David Lura.
