Gale William Tappe

Gabe died tragically in a motorcycle accident on January 8, 2012. Our family lost our rock and our hero. He was born on October 8, 1943 to Lester and Fern (Adams) Tappe in Wadena, Minnesota. Gabe is survived by his wife Joan, children Will, Brad (Danielle), Jason, Robb (Krista) and Amanda. Grandchildren Anna Grace, Cameron Gale, Waylon Kevin and Cole Alan. Sisters Karen (Bob) Gouras, Gloria (John) Nelsen, Vicki (Paul) Huffman, Nancy (Don) Tillman, Laurie (Terry) Conrad. Brothers Gary, Joel (Lori), Stan (Erma), Steve, Rob (Sue). Also by many wonderful nieces and nephews and Will and Brad’s sister Carol. Gabe was preceded in death by his parent Lester and Fern, brother Scott and sister Kathleen. Services will be held at Burley Funeral Chapel, 30 SE Ely Street, Oak Harbor, WA on February 18, 2012. Viewing at 10, Services at 1. Burial at Sunnyside Cemetery in Coupeville. Reception to follow at Coupeville Recreation Hall 901 Northwest Alexander Street. In lieu of flowers, a fund has been established at Wells Fargo for Gale and Joan Tappe.
