Leroy George Dent was born on January 16, 1933 on a farm near Page, North Dakota to Eva and George Dent. He joined two sisters, Vivian Jean and Delphine. The family moved to Winatchee, Washington in 1942.
After Leroy served in the Korean War for 4 years, he worked for Western Union for 30 years as a lineman, technician, etc. He married in 1965 and had three children, George, Jill and Tammy. Leroy was preceded in death by his parents and daughter, Jill, at age 17. He leaves two sisters at home on Whidbey, Delphine Hoover and Jean Smith. No services are planned at his request. Leroy’s ashes will be placed in the columbarium at Tahoma National Cemetery in Kent, Washington.
