Rebecca Patricia Draeger

Rebecca was born and raised in Sioux Falls. She attended Christ the King Elementary, Edison Middle School, and Lincoln High School, graduating in 2000. She attended USD and moved to Oak Harbor in 2003.

Survivors include her son, Xavier Merryman, age 10, of Loveland, CO, her parents, Gene and Monica Draeger of Green Valley, AZ, her brother and sister-in-law David and Nan Draeger of Woodbury, MN, her grandmother Ruth Draeger of Fargo, ND, her grandparents Leonard and Marianne Schlepuetz of Kimball, SD, and numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins. Also grieving her loss are many friends, in particular long-time friends Randy Scheel, Rissy Ford, Leah Oskar, and Robert Plucker. Please hold them in your thoughts and prayers.

Services will be held at the Burley Funeral Home chapel in Oak Harbor, WA on Thursday, February 9 at 2:00 PM. Interment of the ashes will take place in Kimball, SD at a later date. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that contributions be made to a college account for her son. Contributions may be made at any Wells Faro bank in the name of Xavier Merryman.
